Ribbecke Makes $25,000 Kickstarter Goal

to raise $25,000 towards purchase of his property and development of a guitar-making training center.

"I am happy to report we are close to what I need to do all of this," Ribbecke said Wednesday.  "I'm now about $50K short, but I've been given until the end of the month and the owners are working with me as they have seen the response of so many great people to the idea of the center."

and began the Kickstarter.com campaign a few weeks ago after his landlords told him they would be placing his home and guitar-making shop on the market by the end of February unless Ribbecke, who has been leasing the property for many years, bought it first.

He said the response from guitar and music lovers around the world has been very encouraging.

"I have had in particular, quite a bit of support from Healdsburg folks who have ordered guitars and donated so this is very heartwarming!" Ribbecke said. "I cannot reveal any details about identity at the moment but really been an incredible help!"
