The state's electric grid operator, CAISO, may require the outages, city officials said.
HEALDSBURG, CA — Because of extreme heat and higher energy demand statewide, the city of Healdsburg said late Monday that it may be required to turn off power in parts of the city this week.
The state's electric grid operator, CAISO, may require the outages between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. daily in parts of Healdsburg through Thursday, city officials said in a news alert.
The outages typically last one or two hours, and the city will turn off power at city facilities first before shutting off power for residential/business customers. Healdsburg residents are asked to conserve energy to help shorten/curtail the local outages.
