Rollover Crash On Hwy 101 Leaves Jeep Driver, Passenger With Major Injuries: CHP
BREAKING: The driver suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash near Healdsburg, according to the California Highway Patrol.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA -- Two people suffered major injuries in a rollover crash Saturday night near Healdsburg, the California Highway Patrol reported. The solo-vehicle collision happened at 11:55 p.m. on southbound U.S. Highway 101, south of Limerick Lane when Lawrence Hall III, a 48-year-old Santa Rosa man, lost control of the 1998 Jeep Cherokee he was driving, causing it to overturn multiple times, according to CHP Officer Jonathan Sloat.
The Jeep came to rest on the right shoulder of the highway, leaving Hall and his passenger, 57-year-old Cheryl Keel of Rohnert Park, trapped inside the vehicle, Sloat said.
Personnel from the Healdsburg and Windsor fire departments who responded to the scene had to cut the roof off the Jeep in order to free the pair from the wreckage, Sloat said.

Both were transported by ambulance to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, where Keel was treated for major but non-life threatening injuries and Hall for major, life-threatening injuries, according to CHP.
Authorities are investigating whether impairment was a factor in the crash. According to Sloat, officers found drug paraphernalia in the Jeep and a witness said they saw the Jeep swerving prior to the collision.
