San Francisco Piano Trio and Charter School Students Perform in Healdsburg
Students from Santa Rosa Charter School for the Arts are honored at the Russian River Chamber Music performance at the Healdsburg Community Church.
Russian River Chamber Music presented both the San Francisco Piano Trio and fourth and fifth grader violinists from the Santa Rosa Charter School for the Arts on Friday night at the Healdsburg Community Church.
Axel Strauss, a German violinist, Jean-Michel Fonteneau, a French cellist and American pianist Jeffery Sykes, comprise the premier ensemble.
“We met well over 10 years ago," Rykes said. "We found ourselves simpatico, musically speaking.”

Russian River Chamber Music provides funding for concerts and instruments. It is trying to replace what’s been taken out of the school. There are no stringed instruments in Healdsburg.
Friday, they were determined to give the young musicians the time of their lives, by showing the 10 youngsters what the life of a successful performer can be.

Pure Luxury Limousine brought the students and their teacher to the performance, where they sat in front row seats throughout the performance by the San Francisco Piano Trio. During the intermission, the students were able to show their newly-grasped skills with the violin. According to their teacher, Jennifer Sills, they have been playing just since October.
After their performance before the welcoming crowd they were returned by limo to their school.
Russian River Chamber Music’s next event will be the Cypress String Quartet, Fri., Mar. 18, 7:30pm at Healdsburg Community Church.
