Sonoma County Man Arrested For DUI After Motorcyclist Is Killed In Crash
A Santa Rosa man has been arrested on suspicion of DUI in connection with a crash that killed a motorcyclist.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA -- A Santa Rosa man has been arrested on suspicion of DUI in connection with a crash west of Santa Rosa that killed a motorcyclist Friday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The driver, Ethan Aizikovitz, 24, posted bond Saturday and was released from Sonoma County Jail, a jail spokeswoman said.
Aizikovitz was driving a 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander west on Hall Road near the intersection of Piezzi Road in unincorporated Sonoma County around 9:30 p.m. when his vehicle struck the rear of a Suzuki motorcycle,
according to the CHP.

The motorcyclist, identified by the Sonoma County coroner's office as Ricardo Emiliano Perez-Olivarez, 20, of Santa Rosa, was stopped at the stop sign limit line when the crash occurred, according to the CHP.
The impact pushed the motorcycle forward 100 to 150 feet, ejecting Olivarez who landed on the north shoulder of the road, according to the CHP.

Aizikovitz, who was not injured, continued driving west with a badly damaged front tire, bumper and headlight assembly before he stopped just west of the Suzuki, according to the CHP.
Olivarez was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, where he died.
Doctors determined he suffered a traumatic brain injury, CHP officials said.
