Tahoe Driver Sought In Santa Rosa Pedestrian Collision: CHP
BREAKING: The pedestrian suffered head trauma and other injuries in the collision near a U.S. Highway 101 on-ramp, according to CHP.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — California Highway Patrol asked members of the public Friday to help locate the driver of a Chevrolet Tahoe who is wanted on suspicion of felony hit-and-run in a collision with a pedestrian this week at a Santa Rosa crosswalk. According to CHP Officer Jonathan Sloat, the pedestrian, 68-year-old Idaho resident Kenneth Botai was hit by the Tahoe at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday as he was walking westbound in the crosswalk at the Steele Lane on-ramp to northbound U.S. Highway 101.
Sloat said the Tahoe exited northbound 101 via the off-ramp and proceeded to travel straight through the intersection at Steele and was beginning to enter the northbound on-ramp when it struck Botai.
"After colliding with the pedestrian, the Tahoe accelerated from the scene and failed to stop," Sloat said.
