Three Handsome Orange Boys Await Adoption

Madeline Reighard, happy adopter of three pets from the  Healdsburg Animal Shelter, dropped by the shelter with her dad on Thursday to pet the cats. Madeline is just five years old and she agreed to talk about her pets in front of the camera.

And in a great success story, , who was featured in our first Pets to Go segment, left the Healdsburg Shelter, today, with his new friend, Margaret Beale.  Beale beams as she readies to take Marmalade home.

In this segment of the Pets to Go, the collaboration between Healdsburg Patch and the Healdsburg Animal Shelter, HAS director Julie Seal introduces three orange boys just waiting for new homes.

We also introduce you to Sniffy through a photo.  Sniffy is a shy guy who forgets his shyness when he's with kittens.

"Sniffy is a three year old light gray tabby with the most beautiful green eyes you have ever seen. Sniffy is shy with people initially, but has oh-so much love to give. Sniffy is friendly but a bit shy with other cats, but were we ever amazed when we saw him with kittens! Sniffy completely comes out of his shell when the little ones are around. It’s almost as though he never had a “kittenhood” himself and is intent on recapturing it. He romps and plays with eagerness but is very cautious about his size difference and is extremely gentle with them. If you have toyed with the idea of two cats and would like one kitten, you simply must add Sniffy to your home," writes Seal.
