Tigers Manhandle Greyhounds in League Opener

The visiting Analy tigers kept the pressure on the Healdsburg Greyhounds Tuesday night as both teams opened their 2012 Sonoma County League play.  

The taller Tiger team controlled the game, playing a high pressure, full court defense.  

The Hounds' only lead was right at the start of the game, going up 2-0.  The Tigers quickly took the lead.  Healdsburg held tough during the first quarter with Analy leading 9-8 at the end of the quarter.  However the Hounds couldn't keep up the pace, falling behind 24-15 at the half.  

The Tigers maintained their tough defense in the second half, challenging every possession with full court defense, forcing the Hounds to turnn over the ball.  

Junior Cameron lead the Greyhounds with 16 points.  Six-foot, two-inch junior guard Mohannad Halaweh lead the Tigers with 20 points, including four three-pointers in the fourth quarter.  

The Hounds are 8-7 for the season and host Sonoma Valley Thursday evening.
