Topel Seeks Photo Entries For 'Wine Tails Calendar'

Long-time Healdsburg Animal Shelter supporter Topel Winery is looking for "fun, creative photos of pets" for its annual "Wine Tails Calendar."

Proceeds from the calendars will be benefit the shelter. 's generosity reflect their continued commitment to the Healdsburg community.

“The local community has been very supportive of us ever since we opened the tasting room four years ago, so this is one way we can give back,” Donnis Topel said. 

While Topel Winery is located in Hopland, its popular tasting room is located at 125 Matheson St. in Healdsburg.

Only photos taken with a digital camera (no cell phone photos) will be accepted. Minimum size 3MB.  Preference will be given to photos with a wine theme. Contestants are urged to use their creativity in "incorporating vineyards, barrels, glassware, bottles and other wine-related items."

“We also love holiday themes that include wine,” Donnis Topel said. “And obviously we give special bonus points for photos featuring the Topel logo in some way.”       

The submission deadline is July 31.

All photos must be submitted by email to topelcalendar@gmail.com.

Include the name of the pet, owner’s contact information (phone number and email address), the pet’s date of birth and some fun information about the animal. 

Selected pets' photos featured as monthly calendar pin-ups will win one free calendar and a bottle of Topel wine for their guardian.

The calendar is scheduled to be released at the tasting room’s annual “Dogtoberfest,”  Saturday, October 27.
