Washed-Out Hwy 1 In Marin May Be Closed Until March
The storm-damaged stretch is between Panoramic Highway and Muir Woods Road.
A section of State Highway 1 in Marin County is closed in both directions between Panoramic Highway and Muir Woods Road in Marin County, according to Caltrans.
The road was closed on Thursday after a storm washed away much of the soil below the road in one area, making it unsafe to drive on, Caltrans officials said.
Northbound traffic will be detoured at Panoramic Highway, with travelers heading for Stinson Beach staying on Panoramic until they reach state Highway 1.
