Sonoma County officials are advising residents in low-lying areas near the Russian River to evacuate in advance of expected flooding.
The most recent forecasts from the California Nevada River Forecast Center indicates that the peak of Russian River flooding will occur at 10 a.m. Friday, with a crest of 33.9 feet, county officials said.
This is lower than what was previously projected.
