Woman Leads Cops On Chase, Swims Across Russian River: Sheriff

WANTED: Jamie Lamm, of Rio Nido, was last seen getting out of the river on the southern bank near Drake Road in Guerneville.

GUERNEVILLE, CA — The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office said the community should be on the lookout Wednesday for a woman on the run in the Guerneville area who has warrants out for her arrest and is accused of leading a deputy on a pursuit.

After she crashed her truck Wednesday morning, she swam across the Russian River to get away from deputies, the sheriff's office said.

The sheriff's office identified the woman wanted as Jamie Rose Lamm, 31, of Rio Nido.

"Lamm has a felony warrant for her arrest and an extensive criminal history, including weapons charges. It is unknown if she is armed at this time," the sheriff's office said.

Lamm was driving a green Dodge truck and was pulling a boat and trailer when a deputy tried to pull her over, sheriff's officials said.

She is accused of leading the deputy on a brief pursuit from the Stumptown area of Guerneville to Rio Nido, where she crashed into another vehicle and took off.

Lamm then swam across the Russian River and was believed to be hiding in the brush somewhere off Drake Road.

As of 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, the sheriff's office was still looking for her. Many deputies were canvassing the area, residents were advised.

Lamm is about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. She has long brown hair and was last seen wearing a white shirt and blue jeans. She was not wearing shoes and was likely wet and possibly covered with dirt and debris from running through the brush on the banks of the river.

She was last seen getting out of the river on the southern bank near the Drake Road, Western Avenue, Northern Avenue area.

"If you see Lamm, please don’t engage her. Call 911 or 707-565-2121," the sheriff's office said.
