The Windsor Wonders defeated the Cloverdale Bandits 7-0 Friday evening at Healdsburg's Rec Park
The Windsor Wonders out scored the Cloverdale Bandits 7-0 in WIne Country Baseball league action Friday evening. Windsor right hander Johnny Harmyl threw five shutout inning for the win. After struggling in the first inning, Windsor took control of the game and never looked back.
Windsor coach Pat Farrell said that the Windsor team playing Friday "wasn't the same team that lost to the Santa Rosa Gnats" earlier in the season. He credited Kevin Cramer being back with the team as a major contributing factor to the turn around. Cramer led the league in most performance categories during the 2010 season.
Windsor ended the game with 7 runs, 12 hits and 1 error. Cloverdale ended with 0 runs, 9 hits and 2 errors. Winning pitcher Harmyl pitched 5 inning for 0 runs with 5 strike-outs and 2 walks. Windsor is now 3-1 and the Bandits 0-3 in league play.
