Yards Of Animal Feces, Sand Dumped On Children's Playground: Police
Breaking: Anyone with information about the incident of illegal dumping into a children's sandbox is asked to call Windsor police.
SONOMA COUNTY, CA -- Part of a public playground was cordoned off Thursday in Windsor after police say parks and recreation personnel discovered someone had recently dumped some 3 yards of sand, mixed with large amounts of animal feces, into the children's sandbox.
In statement Thursday, the Windsor Police Department said it is investigating who could be responsible for the case of "illegal dumping – LITERALLY – at Robbins Park, located at the corner of Cornell Street and Billington Lane."
According to police, Windsor Parks and Recreation Department staff members were at the park Thursday morning to perform regular maintenance when they noticed the piles of feces-laden sand.

"That was about as random as it gets," Percy said. "It is so bizarre."
