We have an added bonus, during the presentation of Martin Bustamantes, “Degrees of Separation: The Heart”, the music of Radik, a Brazilian Singer, song writer. You can find out a little more about him, please read on . . Radik comes from Brasilia, in the country of Brazil. His interest in music began at 5 , listening to the music his father loved, Chorinhos, Boleros, Bossa Nova, American Jazz and Carnival "Marchinhas". At 10, Radik moved to Rio De Janeiro. There his musical interest began to focus more on the national and international Rock and Pop scene. For the next eight years you could find him performing at events all over Rio. This was a weekly routine that took him, all the way through to his second year of college. In 2000 Radik left his beloved Brazil, to follow his musical dreams to the United States. First settling close to San Francisco, where he performed on local radio shows, then moving to Los Angeles. Once in the United States he found himself longing for Brazil, remembering the music his father listened to. He chose to express that longing in song, and the instrument to help him was the acoustic Brazilian guitar. With that acoustic Brazilian guitar and his voice, he started write, compose and record his music, leading him to where he is today, with the recent release of his first album, Pera. Come join us for an evening of Art and Music, at this month’s, NELA Art Walk, in Highland Park.
