Woman Hospitalized in Nearby Electrical Fire

It took 44 firefighters 30 minutes to knock down the flames in Eagle Rock, which were fueled by leaves and pine needles in a rain gutter, he said.

A woman suffered a non-life-threatening injury today when an electrical fire started outside a hillside house in Eagle Rock and then made its way under the home's roof, authorities said.

The fire at 1475 N. Avenue 57 was reported at 12:49 p.m., said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

It took 44 firefighters 30 minutes to knock down the flames, which were fueled by leaves and pine needles in a rain gutter, he said.

The victim's name and age were not released. She was taken to a hospital for treatment of an unspecified injury, Humphrey said.
