Attic Fire Causes Roof Collapse At Hollywood Home

A fire engulfed the attic of a two-story Hollywood home on Gramercy Place.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — A fire heavily damaged a two-story home in Hollywood Tuesday, forcing the roof to collapse.

At about 3 p.m. firefighters were called to the 500 block of North Gramercy Place, where an attic fire had engulfed parts of a two-story home, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart. Roughly 84 firefighters worked to put out the blaze in 36 minutes, she added.

No one was injured in the fire, and authorities are working to determine the total cost of the damage done. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
