EAGLE ROCK, CA — Firefighters are battling a half-acre brush fire in Eagle Rock near the freeway transition from the northbound Glendale (2) Freeway to the eastbound Ventura (134) Freeway.

According to the los Angeles Fire Department, the blaze is burning amid heaving brush, and smoke could be seen for miles. The fire is backing up traffic along the 2 and 134 freeways.
