Cybill Shepherd Claims Les Moonves Sexually Harassed Her Too
Actress Cybill Shepherd said CBS cancelled her sitcom right after she rebuffed a pass by CEO Les Moonves.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Actress Cybill Shepherd Thursday said a rebuffed proposition by former CBS chief Les Moonves likely led to the cancellation of her CBS sitcom "Cybill."
The actress told her story Thursday on SiriusXM's The Michelle Collins Show. Moonves, who was pushed out amid a massive sexual harassment scandal, made a pass at Shepherd one night while they were at dinner, she said. Moonves has denied the claims of sexual harassment and said the encounters were consensual.
``He was, well, he was telling me his wife didn't turn him on, some mistress didn't turn him on," Shepherd said. ``And ... he says, `Well, you know, why don't you let me take you home?' I said, `No, I've got a ride.' And I had my car outside with a good friend of mine who is an off-duty LAPD officer."

It didn't take long for Shepherd to feel the backlash, she claims. ``Quite shortly afterward," her show was canceled, she said.
"Cybill" ran from 1995 through 1998. Had she gone home with him, the actress believes that her show ``would have run another five years."
