HOLLYWOOD, CA — Singer Demi Lovato reportedly suffered a heroin overdose at her home in the Hollywood Hills. According to TMZ, which first broke the story, Lovato was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital for treatment.
Her condition is reportedly stable. The singer has been famously open about her struggle with addiction since she became sober six years ago. However, last month the singer seemingly admitted to falling back into drug use with her gut-wrenching release "Sober."
Late Tuesday afternoon, a representative for Lovato issued a statement that read, "Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support. Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing for us now."
