Instagram Model Pleads Not Guilty To Alleged Car Assault
Amber Rose Darbinyan, an Instagram model allegedly filmed ramming a car at a Hollywood taco truck, pleaded not guilty to assault charges.
HOLLYWOOD, CA — A woman who allegedly rammed a parked car that was blocking her path near a taco truck in Hollywood last August pleaded not guilty Wednesday to eight criminal charges.
Amber Rose Darbinyan, 25, an Instagram model who lives in Los Angeles, is charged with three felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon — a car — along with one felony count each of hit-and-run driving resulting in injury to another person and vandalism with over $400 in damage and three misdemeanor counts of battery.
Video of the early morning incident on Aug. 24 went viral, and Darbinyan was instantly recognized as the viral police chase girl. The taco stand video shows a woman involved in a confrontation with one or more people and then getting into a Mercedes- Benz and ramming another car in reverse multiple times before driving away.

Darbinyan is due back in a downtown Los Angeles courtroom on March 27, when a date is scheduled to be set for a hearing to determine if there is enough evidence for the case to proceed to trial.
If convicted as charged , she could face up to eight years and four months in state prison, according to the District Attorney's Office.
