Jupiter’s Claim Set From Horror Film 'Nope' Added At Universal Studios
The movie set now is part of the amusement park's backlot, behind-the-scenes Studio Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood.

UNIVERSAL CITY, CA — The original movie set of "Jupiter’s Claim," from Jordan Peele’s horror epic "Nope," now is among the behind-the scenes attractions for studio tours at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Universal's Studio Tour added the set last week, coinciding with the theater release of the new film from Universal Pictures and Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions.
The Jupiter’s Claim set joins such backlot iconic movie sets as Steven Spielberg’s "War of the Worlds," the infamous house from Alfred Hitchcock’s "Psycho" and Courthouse Square from Robert Zemeckis’ "Back to the Future."

“I remember visiting Universal Studios when I was 12 years old and being mesmerized," Peele said. "That experience reinforced my passion and drive to someday join in on the meta-magic of ‘backlot life.’ It is a privilege to honor these collaborations with my studio partners, crew members and cast, and to be able to share Jupiter’s Claim with fans.”
Peele, who redefined modern horror with "Get Out" and "Us," is the mastermind behind the latest flick "Nope" — a film that follows residents in inland California, who bear witness to a chilling discovery. Amid the pivotal backdrop of Jupiter’s Claim — a theme park set in Santa Clarita Valley, but predicated on the white-washed history and aesthetics of the California Gold Rush — the characters investigate mysterious phenomena, leading to terrifying consequences.

“We couldn’t be more excited to showcase (Peele's) original Jupiter’s Claim set as a permanent centerpiece attraction on the Studio Tour, giving our guests a front row seat to authentic movie-making magic," said Scott Strobl, Universal Studios Hollywood's executive vice president/general manager.
The elaborate Jupiter’s Claim set, created by production designer Ruth DeJong, was dismantled after filming and transported to Universal Studios Hollywood, where it was reconstructed on site, complete with original props and details from the film, management said.
