Possible Jumper on 101 Freeway Overpass Closes Freeway

Updated at 6 p.m: Firefighters and law enforcement personnel have safely removed a person, who was apparently threatening to jump from a Hollywood (101) Freeway overpass in downtown Los Angeles, says Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Traffic on the southbound Hollywood Freeway is returning to its normal Friday evening rush hour state, according to reports from the scene.

Original Post: The CHP reports that traffic on the southbound Hollywood (101) Freeway is being diverted to the southbound Harbor (110) Freeway. Los Angeles police say there’s a possibly suicidal person on a Hollywood Freeway overpass in the area of Grand Avenue in downtown Los Angeles.
