Target To Hire More Than 25,000 Seasonal Workers In California
The company will begin a hiring blitz, offering positions starting at $13 an hour to thousands of seasonal employees.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Target will hire more than 25,000 seasonal workers in California this year as part of a massive drive to add about 130,000 seasonal workers nationwide. The bulk of the new seasonal hires will draw from the state’s major metro areas including Los Angeles, San Diego and the Bay Area.
The hiring blitz will begin in October with two full-day events at each Target store, and all seasonal hires will receive a minimum starting wage of $13 an hour. Despite mixed economic signals and fears of a recession, forecasters predict a strong holiday shopping season, and Target’s seasonal hiring appears to be on par with 2018.
“This year Target plans to hire approximately 14,000 seasonal team members across Los Angeles, approximately 3,000 seasonal team members across San Diego, and approximately 8,000 seasonal team members across San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose,” a Target spokeswoman told Patch.

Target will host two rounds of hiring events this year. The first event will take place from Oct. 11 to 13, and the second from Nov. 2 to 3. Events will be hosted at all Target stores across the country from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The weekend events give candidates the opportunity to meet store leaders, with the potential to interview on the spot and receive a conditional job offer. Job seekers can also apply online at TargetSeasonalJobs.com any time to apply for both store and distribution center roles.
In addition, all hourly team members, including seasonal hires, benefit from:

"From engaging our current team members who are interested in extra hours, to adding more than 130,000 seasonal hires, we continue to invest in our team because they make it easier and more joyful to shop at Target, especially during the holidays."
