• Governor signs law shielding immigration service providers from threats (wavepublication.com) — A new California law will shield immigration service providers from doxxing and violent threats, creating a confidential address program similar to Safe at Home. State Sen. Tony Strickland of Huntington Beach opposed the measure, warning it could chill free speech and investigative journalism, while supporters say it's needed as threats against immigration workers rise statewide.
• She adopted her dream doodle (bestfriends.org) — A Huntington Beach family recently adopted their dream doodle, Bentley, through a breed-specific rescue group instead of buying from a breeder.
