Class Learns to Avoid Bullies

Sixth-graders from Imperial Beach Elementary School learned some techniques on how to avoid a bully last Thursday at Healthy Kicks.

Victor Beltran, a sixth degree Tae Kwon Do Grandmaster and owner of , knows what it's like to be bullied.

As a kid in elementary school, he would at time make excuses to go to the nurse's office so other students wouldn't make fun.

Last Thursday he taught a class of sixth-graders from some reasons why people become bullies and techniques to deal with them.
