CVS Robbed In San Diego's South Bay

NATIONAL CITY, CA – A man who claimed to have a concealed gun robbed a South Bay pharmacy early Thursday.
The thief was stealing display items at the CVS store in the 1200 block of East Plaza Boulevard in National City about 3 a.m. when an employee confronted him, prompting him to make the threat about having a firearm, according to police.
The bandit fled the business, which is open 24 hours a day, with an undisclosed amount and type of merchandise, Sgt. Antonio Ybarra said.

Police did not immediately release a description of the robber, who displayed no weapon during the crime.
