Daily Surf Report Feb. 16

Local surfer Greg Broadfoot's daily analysis of surf conditions.

Wet Wednesday surf world!
Rain rolled in late last night bringing strong southern wind and not a whole lot of surf. I wouldn't recommend jumping in your wettie today. Looks like this wind isn't going to let up.

Plus health officials closed beaches from the south end of Seacoast Drive to the U.S.-Mexico border and issued a general advisory for all other beaches countywide. Waves are knee to chest high with occasionally bigger sets at your stand out sandbar.

The plume tracker indicates that particles released to follow the out-pour of the Tijuana River are down and flowing slightly south of the river mouth.

You can always call for a water update from the San Diego County Department of Environmental Health before hitting the water at 619-338-2073.

Wind is chilly out of the south west at eight mph. Waters is 54-56 degrees.
