Daily Surf Report Feb. 21 - Beach Closed

Local surfer Greg Broadfoot's daily analysis of surf conditions.

Waves have definitely cleaned up, but that's not the case with the water quality. Not yet. Light offshore winds have groomed out yesterdays choppiness. I'm still wouldn't recommend jumping in quite yet.

The yellow signs are up for a general advisory in effect for all San Diego County beaches, as is customary after the kind of rain we have seen the past few days. That means enter the water at your own risk.

All IB beach is considered closed, from Carnation Avenue to southern end of Seacoast Drive to the U.S.-Mexico border. The plume tracker indicates that particles released to follow the outpour of the Tijuana River is flowing  north of the river mouth. See for yourself.
