Daily Surf Report Feb. 24 - Beach Closed

Local surfer Greg Broadfoot's daily analysis of surf conditions.

Thursday day surf world! And were not missing anything out there. Waves are flat and we have some pre-storm winds to chop up whatever form is out there.  I recommend enjoying the sun, not the sea, today.

Wind is at five mph out of the southwest. Water temp is a chilly 54.

The yellow signs are up for a general advisory in effect for all San Diego County beaches, as is customary after the kind of rain we have seen the past few days. That means enter the water at your own risk.

All IB beach remains closed after last week's rain, from Carnation Avenue to south end of Seacoast Drive to the U.S.-Mexico border. The plume tracker indicates that particles released to follow the outpour of the Tijuana River is flowing north of the river mouth. See for yourself.

More rain is expected this weekend.
