Daily Surf Report—Jan. 15

Local surfer Greg Broadfoot's daily analysis of surf conditions.

A new swell has entered our waters, surfers! What better way to start off the weekend than jumping in and getting some fun corners. Face ankle to chest high sets at your best known sand bars north and south of the pier. Stay safe and stay wet!

Unfortunately signs are still posted south of Seacoast Drive down to the Mexican border for beach closures.

The plume tracker indicates that particles released to follow the out-pour of the Tijuana River are down and flowing south  of the river mouth. See for yourself.

You can always call for a water update from the San Diego County Department of Environmental Health before hitting the water at 619-338-2073.

Wind is chilly out of the east at 3 mph. Waters is 54-56ºF.
