Daily Surf Report—Jan. 17

Local surfer Greg Broadfoot's daily analysis of surf conditions.

Surf's up for all of us die-hard surfers! Waves have stuck around in the waist-to-head-high zone, with bigger sets on your best known sand bars.

Unfortunately signs are still posted from the southern tip of Seacoast Drive down to the U.S.-Mexico border, but water is considered safe for swimming for the rest of Imperial Beach.

You can always call for a water update from the San Diego County Department of Environmental Health before hitting the water at 619-338-2073.

Wind is chilly out of the NW at 2 mph. Waters at a chilly 54-56ºF.
