Daily Surf Report—Jan. 18

Local surfer Greg Broadfoot's daily analysis of surf conditions.

Waves are still pushing the stoke meter up for surf enthusiasts!

Swell is still out of the northwest, giving us some really fun corners on the south side. I recommend your high performance fish or short board to compensate for the extreme tide swings today. Stay safe out there.

Beaches are still closed from the southern end of Seacoast Drive to the Mexican border. You can always call for a water update from the San Diego County Department of Environmental Health before hitting the water at 619-338-2073.

Wind is chilly out of the north at 2 mph. Water is 54-56ºF.
