Daily Surf Report March 17

A local surfer's daily analysis of surf conditions.

Waves have picked up some and are chest to head high with the occasional whomper rolling thorough. Be safe out there and stay wet surfers.

The plume tracker indicates that particles released to follow the out-pour of the Tijuana River are down and flowing west-southwest of the river mouth, away from Imperial Beach. See for yourself.

You can always call for a water update from the San Diego County Department of Environmental Health before hitting the water at 619-338-2073.

Wind is  out of the northwest at seven mph. Water is a chilly 54-56 degrees.
