Dollar $tore to Close After Owner's Death

Dollar $tore in the Promenade Shopping Center off 9th Street will no longer be open after the death of the store's owner Russell Smith last month.

A memorial with cards, flowers, candles and notes of well wishes for Smith and his family has begun to form in front of the store while inside inventory has been moved out.

The store originally opened in spring 2010.

No funeral or memorial have been scheduled yet, his wife Jan Smith said.
