Friday Surf Report and Weather Forecast

I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report.

We're seeing a little bit of an increase in the action in IB. Overall, it's still on the small side, but you can pick off a few fun ones at your favorite focal points.

The conditions are looking pretty clean from the start with a mixture of some southwest swell and some northwest windswell in the water.

That recipe is offering this stretch of sand with some crumbly and fairly broken-up lines, with a few fast shoulders to be had.  Most spots in Imperial Beach are seeing knee to waist high waves, with the standout breaks pulling some stomach high sets.

Today's weather calls for highs near 80 on the coast and mid to high 80s inland.

If you're planning on paddling, a thin fullsuit is the call for at least the morning session, with the water temperature averaging between 62 and 64 degrees. Have fun!
