Friday Surf Report and Weather Forecast

Some fun leftover energy, wind gusts up to 30 mph Friday morning.

I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. We're seeing more decreasing energy out there, but it's still worth grabbing a session. Overall surf action is hanging in that small to playful size range along this stretch of sand.

We have some pretty clean conditions early on. There's mainly residual west-northwest swell and some minor south-southwest energy in the water.

That recipe is offering some fast sectiony lines, with some fun ones to grab.  Most spots in Imperial Beach are running about knee to stomach high with the standout combo breaks pulling chest high waves, with maybe a plus set.

Mostly sunny with highs from 60 to 65 and lows from 43 to 49 Friday evening. Wind gusts may reach up to 30 mph Friday morning and become lighter throughout the day.

If you're going to get wet, you'll need at least a 3/2 fullsuit with the water temperature averaging between 58 and 60 degrees. Good luck out there!
