Friday Surf Report and Weather Forecast

Back to mostly small energy in the water.

Waking up with the waves on Friday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. Well, it looks like we're back to mostly small mode along this stretch of sand, but you can still pick off a few inconsistent playful size waves if you're patient!

Conditions are looking nice and clean early on with a mixture of fading swells.  We have mainly leftover west northwest swell and some minor southerly energy in the water.

That recipe is offering this part of the coast some fast and fairly broken-up lines with some fun shoulders to grab.  Most spots in Imperial Beach are running about knee to waist high plus with the focal points pulling a few stomach high plus sets.

Forecast calls for sunny skies Friday with highs from 68 to 73 on the coast and up near 80 in some areas inland. Lows from 38 to 48 this evening.

If you're going to get wet, a 4/3 fullsuit and the booties will do the job with the water temperature at most spots in the area averaging between 57 and 59 degrees. Good luck!
