Friday Surf and Weather Report

If you like it small, then get out there!

Good Friday morning surf enthusiasts, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. We're looking at more of the same small stuff, with an occasional fun size wave to pick off.

The conditions are pretty clean from the start, with the continued mixture of minor southwest swell along with a tad of lingering northwest windswell in the water.

That makes for some crumbly sectiony lines, with a few decent shoulders to snag. Most spots in Imperial Beach are seeing knee to waist high waves, with the standout breaks pulling a few larger sets.

In today and this weekend's weather the forecast calls for partly cloudy skies in the morning until the marine layer burns off with high temperatures in the low 70s and a low in the low 60s.

If you're planning on paddling, a springsuit will do the job, with the water temperature averaging between 65 and 68 degrees.  Good luck out there!
