Friday Surf Report and Weather Forecast

Still plenty of playful waves.

I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. Well, it looks like our latest dose of energy is beginning to fade away, but you can still find plenty of playful size waves.

The conditions are starting off clean and glassy with a mixture of mainly dropping northwest swell and some minor south southwesterly energy in the water.

That recipe is giving this stretch of sand some fast semi-walled lines, with some good steep corners to grab. Most spots in Imperial Beach are pulling waist to chest high waves, with the standout breaks pulling some larger sets.

In IB, weather is forecast to be partly cloudy with a high temperature of 79 and low of 60 this evening. Across the region, temperatures have decreased about 10 degrees from Wednesday and Thursday highs.

If you're planning on paddling, get out at your 3/2 fullsuit with the water temperature averaging between 60 and 62 degrees. Get out there and enjoy!
