Intruders​ Break Into South Bay Optometry Business

Police need help identifying four intruders who broke into a Chula Vista optometry business and stole over $100,000 in merchandise.

CHULA VISTA, CA — Authorities reached out to the public Wednesday for help in identifying four thieves who broke into a South Bay optometry business last month and stole more than $100,000 worth of merchandise.

A surveillance camera captured footage of the July 16 break-in at Pack and Bianes Vision Care Optometry in the 300 block of East H Street in Chula Vista, according to police.

The four burglars, with their faces covered by various articles of clothing, forced entry into the business about 4 a.m. and stole a large number of eyeglasses before fleeing in an SUV.

No detailed descriptions of the perpetrators have been released.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call San Diego County Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477 or contact the agency online at sdcrimestoppers.org. Tipsters can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
