June 27 Waves and Weather

A good combination of energy out there!

Waking up with the waves on Monday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report.  Well, if you missed out on all the action over the weekend, then you're in business.  We're seeing more modest size surf, with the conditions starting off pretty clean and glassy from the start.

We have a mixture of primarily south-southwest swell, some smaller southeast energy and minor northwest windswell in the water.  That recipe is providing this stretch of sand with some fast sectiony lines, with plenty of good wedgy shoulders.

Most spots in Imperial Beach are running about waist to chest high, with the standout breaks pulling shoulder high waves, with a few plus sets.

If you're planning on paddling, throw on no more than a thin fullsuit for that a.m session, with the water temperature averaging between 63 and 65 degrees.  Have fun out there!!

In the weather the forecast calls for a high of 72 degrees and low of 62 with mostly sunny skies during the day and patchy fog in the evening. Wind out of the west at five to 10 mph.
