Waking up with the waves on Monday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. We're looking at some pretty small surf out there this morning. So, if you plan on paddling get out a fish or a log.
We're starting off with some clean and glassy conditions, with a little mixture of remnant west northwest swell and some minimal southwesterly energy in the water.
That recipe is offering this stretch of sand some weak and crumbly lines, with a few fun ones on the small wave gear. Most spots in Imperial Beach are seeing knee high waves, with the focal points pulling a few thigh to waist sets.

Monday's weather forecast calls for mostly sunny skies, with a high temperature of 72 degrees and low of 60 this evening. 71 in Coronado, 72 in downtown San Diego and 73 in Chula Vista. Mid 70s inland, 96 in Borrego Springs. Forecast calls for rain Tuesday to Thursday, and since it has not rained in a while, this could shut down IB's beaches.
If you're in need of a salt water bath, then throw on a thin fullsuit with the water temperature averaging between 60 and 63 degrees. Good luck out there!
