Waking up with the waves on Monday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. Well, if you're one of the lucky ones who has the day off this MLK holiday, then you might want to find something else to do besides surf.
We're not seeing a whole lot in the way of waves. Most spots in this neck of the woods are staying on the small side. We have some pretty clean conditions early on with a very minor dose of west-northwest swell in the water.
That recipe may offer this part of the coast some crumbly sectiony lines with a few fun ones. Most spots in Imperial Beach are seeing knee to waist high waves with the focal points pulling a few plus sets.

Monday's weather forecast calls for a 20 percent chance of rain in the morning with highs from 56 to 61 degrees. Patchy fog and lows from 39 to 47 this evening. Slightly warmer temperatures forecast Wednesday through Saturday. Rain expected this weekend.
If you're planning on paddling, you'll want to wear a 4/3 fullsuit and maybe the booties with the water temperature at most spots averaging between 57 and 59 degrees. Good luck out there!
