Pedestrian Struck By Alleged DUI Driver in Chula Vista
The injury collision was reported about 9:45 p.m. Sunday, police said.
CHULA VISTA, CA: A suspected drunken driver was facing charges Monday for allegedly crashing into a jaywalking pedestrian in Chula Vista.
The pedestrian was struck by the westbound vehicle while attempting to illegally cross E Street east of Interstate 5 at about 9:45 p.m. Sunday, according to a Chula Vista police statement.
The victim was seriously injured in the crash and taken to UC San Diego Medical Center to be treated, police said.

The driver was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, according to the statement.
