Spring Blossoms with Flowers at the Farmers Market

Alfredo Hidalgo has sold flowers at Farmers Markets around San Diego for about 20 years. In the shadow of Surfhenge, every Friday he can be found at the Imperial Beach Certified Farmers Market, to sell roses, sunflowers, tulips lillies and dozens of other kinds of flowers that he grows in Vista.

Each purchase comes along with Hidalgo's ear-to-ear smile.

As people begin to shake off the cold of winter and enjoy an extra hour of sunlight, business tends to pick up this time of year, he said.

A celebration will be held this Friday for the IB Farmers Market's first anniversary from 2-7:30 p.m.
