IB Stingray Rugby Fights OC Bucks in One of the Team's First Games Ever

The Stingrays of the Imperial Beach Rugby Club are in their first year of competition against clubs across Southern California.

The Imperial Beach Rugby Club lost a close game to the OC Bucks Saturday afternoon at Mar Vista High School. The Stingrays led at halftime 19-5, but the OC Bucks came back to win the game 24-19.

Though some members of the club have more than 20 years experience, much of the team played their first or second game, as this is the first year for the Imperial Beach Stingrays Rugby Club.

Since their first two games got canceled, this is the team's third game.

Their next game is in Los Angeles against the LA Rebellion and their next home game is Feb. 26 against Temecula at Imperial Beach at 2 p.m.
