Thursday Surf and Weather Report

Nothing to write home about in today's surf. Sunny skies expected by midday.

Good Thursday morning, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report.

Well, it's nothing to write home about. Basically, we're looking at mainly small energy, with the occasional playful size wave.

The conditions are starting off with a mixture of some new south-southwest swell and some minor lingering northwest windswell in the water.

That recipe is making for some fast and fairly broken-up lines, with some fun ones on a small wave board of some sort. Most spots in Imperial Beach are running about knee to waist high, with the focal points pulling some larger sets.

The day's weather forecast calls for cloudy skies until the sun burns through in the midday. High temperature of 71 during the day and low temperature of 63 this evening.

If you're going to get out there and grab a session, a springsuit is the call with the water temperature averaging between 66 and 68 degrees. Have fun out there!
