Warm Weather Continues, Thursday Surf Report and Weather Forecast

New swell fills in, and things get even hotter.

Good Thursday morning, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report. Well, we're seeing a new dose of swell filling in as we speak. Yep, it's worth getting out there and grabbing a session at some point during the day!

We have some fairly clean conditions from the start, with mainly building northwest swell and very little southwest energy to speak of.

That recipe is offering this stretch of sand some fast semi-wally lines, with some nice pick and choose corners. Most spots in Imperial Beach are seeing waist to chest high waves with the focal points pulling shoulder high waves, with some plus sets.

According to the National Weather Service's special weather statment Thursday morning, "once the inversion breaks around mid morning... temperatures are expected to climb rapidly and be just as warm if not warmer by noon as they were on Wednesday."

Expect highs to climb above 100 degrees inland and across southern California.

Highs of 86 in Coronado, 87 in Imperial Beach, 89 in Chula Vista and 91 in downown San Diego.

On Friday temperatures are expected to cool 10 degrees but only reduce slightly in mountains and deserts.

If you're going to grab some of the action, get out at least a thin fullsuit with the water temperature averaging between 60 and 62 degrees. Get on it!
