Thursday Surf Report

Run of fun surf lingers.

Good Thursday morning surf enthusiasts, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Imperial Beach Patch surf report.  Well, if you've missed the last several days of sizeable surf and great weather, then get out there and grab some of it while it lasts.  Yep, there's still a decent dose of energy and plenty of sunshine.

We're starting off with some nice and glassy conditions early on with the continued mix of mainly west northwest swell and some small northwest energy.

That recipe is offering this part of the coast some fast sorta walled lines with some good corners to grab.  Most spots in Imperial Beach are seeing waist to chest high waves with the top breaks pulling shoulder high waves, with a few larger sets.

Taking a look at the tides...at 6:00 this morning the tide dropped to a 2.0 low and then climbs back up to a 4.5 high at 11:34 later this morning and then drains out to a 0.3 low at 6:37 this evening.

If you're going to get wet, you'll want to wear a 4/3 fullsuit and possibly the booties for at least that morning session with the water temperature averaging between 57 and 58 degrees.  Have fun out there!

Expect a sunny day today with highs near 70 degrees, dropping down tonight between 40 to 50 degrees with patchy dense fog in some areas with low visibility one quarter mile or less.
